If she's anything like my wife that might be a daunting task. Mine just tolerates my kilting. Good Luck

My wife is from the same school, only hers was in Mexico. I guess A man does not look like a man unless he is wearing a pair of trousers like the rest of the men in there life.
I just say "YES DEAR" then put on the kilt.

Don't understand women not liking men in kilts... Rates right up there with the Marine Corp Dress blues for getting my attention.

I think a lot of women feel threatened that they will no longer be the center of attention if the man they are with creates a stir whilst kilted.
Either that, or they feel they will be judged somehow if they are not as "dressy" as a man in a kilt is perceived to be. People think kilts are formal dressy things, and a woman may feel slouchy compared to a dapper looking gent in a kilt.

I guess I must be lucky. My wife doesn't mind my wearing kilts at all.
Both my family and hers have seen me in kilts and they don't bat an eye.
Even my 82 year old Dad commented the other day when I picked him up for dinner that I should have brought an extra along for him!
That would be something to see, I don't think I've ever seen him in shorts-although he would look smashing, wooden leg and all

A wooden leg would look freaking SWEET under a kilt.

Yeah TB, I think so. He lost his left leg in WWII.

My wife has no problem with me wearing my utilikilt - as long as she wasn't planning on wearing a dress or skirt the same color (she doesn't care to dress like me; too "cute") - but she has major reservations about me wearing a tartan. Apparently it's some sort of catholic school girl trauma (sigh).
