    Me – a dancer?

I went on a wild shopping expidition today and bought a digital camera (Fuji A345) and new iMac G5 (nice price drop after new model release). So I came out of Mac Outpost where I bought it and there were three teenage girls at the bus stop. They all stopped chatting and looked at me telling me they loved my kilt. I said thank you and kept on to my car.
As I passed I heard one say, "that's what highland dancing is all about".

Here's the picture: I'm wearing the Rolling Stones' flaming tongue t-shirt, Doc Marten's and scrunched down socks, and a white hemp safari hat. Oh, and I'm carrying a large box that has the iMac. How did I look like a dancer? Perhaps she has the real image of barefoot dancing over real swords and liberal amounts of Drambuie.

Well I have been known to dance a time or two with the people from the coffee shop (both sides of the counter), But my picture is not as good or as vibrant as yours. I am more of a Grateful Dead shirt wearer.

Not long ago, I was checking my P.O. box after hours and I helped an older woman (maybe in her 70's?) with the automated mailing center. As I walked away she said, "I love the kilt, you must be a dancer!" It struck me as odd at the time. I guess that Riverdance and Michael Flaterly have had some sort of cultural impact, so much so that any guy in a kilt is assumed to be a dancer. Oh, well... there are worse assumptions people could make, I guess.
