Men in Kilts More Common than Women in Skirts

I took a count at my Scottish Country Dance class tonight and in a group of almost forty people I was one of four men wearing kilts. Only one woman was wearing a skirt, all the others were wearing trousers. A sign of the times perhaps.

That sounds like my SCD class, of course when I started I was the only one in a kilt, everyone thought I was the teacher or at least knew what I was doing.

I was at a conference and trade show last week. There were several kilted attendees, plus one of the vendors has Utilikilts as part of their uniform. One of the other (apparently new) vendors pulled me aside to ask what the deal was with all the guys in skirts. (She wasn't being malicious it was just the only word she new for it). I said told her about the one company. She responded with "what about the rest of you." I said they are comfortable and stylish. She replied, "I hate wearing a skirt, if guys want to wear a skirt, its fine with me, I just hope they don't expect me to start wearing one."

It may be a sign of the times!

Unfortunately, it is a sign of the times. I consider myself extremely fortunate that my wife prefers the elegance and style of a well fitted dress. I must also confess that it is amusing to see the look on the faces of the men (and sometimes the women) when they accidentally catch a glimpse of stocking top and bare thigh (some are quickly embarrassed, while others give a discreet nod of approval.)

Yes,...I am a very fortunate man.

And I'm very fortunate that my husband loves me in anything I wear

I will say this: must be nice not having to shave your legs every day when you do want to wear a skirt. You guys are lucky that way.

Oh! That's the issue. I would guess so.

My wife and I have been together for over thirty years,...to me she is always the prettiest woman in the room (no matter what she wears.)
