    My first custom sporran

    No, I didn't do it.

But Tom (A_Hay) did it.... This is my first custom made sporran, but it will certainly not be my last. It is the result of the swap he was proposing a few months ago. I was lucky enough to get it.

First, a little history and then the pics:

Back in '93, I had some ink done. I could find anything that attracted my eye. But I found a little wolf's paw in the corner of a magazine and I thought that this was the tattoo that I wanted. At the time I was working deep in the woods (with kids, adults, familly, tourists, etc... doing al sorts of stuff like camping, canoeing, climbing, blah blah blah...) The tattoo reflected the way I saw myself with mother nature. It was a link. I also started to do some ink on my stuff. It was my way of identifying my stuff in the myriads of stuff that can be found around the campsite. (There was a lot of theft around the forementioned campsite. By co-workers and clients)
    A few pics

Now I have a sporran to add to the collection. This sporran is ... they say a picture is worth a 1000 words... here's a few pictures

    Thank you again Tom

P.S. Tom, Show us a picture of you wearing the pin higher up on the apron, I am sure quite a few, like myself, will enjoy seeing it.

Congratulations on a very fine sporran. I really like the paw imprint, and the edge detailing is fine. Wear it with pride.

Very handsome sporran you have there. Excellent handiwork. I especially like the clasp. Is it rotational or magnetic?

That is a very attractive sporran. Tom is obviously quite a craftsman and you did a good deal.

Rotational and the clasp is why I picked this particular sporran style.

Very nice indeed. I have the same closer on one of mine sporrans. When I starts to stick and it will, very carefully cover the leather and spray a tiny bit of WD40 into the lock and it will work like a charm.
