    My First Kilt

    My First Kilt

Because of a small cash flow problem I couldn't afford a 8yd 16oz traditional kilt.
So I bought a Sport Kilt.

Hey after all it's a kilt? Right!

    Thanks

Funny story; I went to my sister's house for a visit. Expecting my two nephews and niece to make fun of me wearing it. Well the oldest was more curious about the sporran, kilt pin, and Balmoral than making fun. Youngest nephew wasn't home. My niece ran and would not come near me. Later she told her Gran "My Uncle embarrassed me and my friend saw him. " She told her "That's his heritage and he is proud of it You can't fault him for being proud of who he is. Can ya."

Guess I'll have to ease her in to the idea.

Personally, I think Sport kilts are the high end of the starter kilts.

I thought about that. On inspection, I noticed the leather strap is right under it. Is covered by material like the bottom one? Or is it exposed?

After I received it I found Stillwater kilts. So my next kilt will more than likely come from them.
