    My first kilt arrived!!!

Hello all! Saturday was a grand day, seeing the arrival of my first kilt! A 13oz "Premier" kilt in Clan Gunn weathered tartan, made by USAkilts. I've borrowed many a kilt from friends, and I've owned a philabeg or two for re-enacting, but this is my first "real deal" kilt, in one of my families tartans. Rocky, and the folks at USAkilts did a wonderful job. It arrived earlier than the scheduled time frame, and is just gorgeous. The workmanship is first class, and their customer service is outstanding. Great folks down there at USAkilts. I couldn't ask for a nicer kilt. I will be posting pics shortly to display the wonderful work they do, and the gorgeous tartan that is the Clan Gunn weathered. Again, pics to follow soon.

Congrats. You got it during their move too. Very cool. I look forward to seeing it.

In another thread you said you ordered yours about the same time I ordered mine...hmmmmmm...wonder if I can call this a good sign? Hopefully ordering two kilts didn't slow things down. Alas, they will arrive when they arrive.

Ha ha, I know, I know......I'm in the middle of a move myself. Things are a bit hectic, but I promise to get the pics up soon. It's beautiful.

Yeah, I was worried too. I ordered mine on Aug. 5th, shortly before the deadline. I got it Sept. 22. So that's a full week early! I know the "wait" isn't very fun, and I tell ya, it reaches it's peak when you finally get "the call" saying it's finished and on the way, then you REALLY get antsy.

They are great folks, and my kilt is wonderful. Yours will be too. I'll have pics up soon.
