Smile My First Kilt for Christmas!

I was all ready to order my first kilt from Rocky, at USA Kilts, when our water heater decided it didn’t want to heat water anymore.

With Christmas coming, getting the water heater repaired took a huge chunk out of the money I had budgeted for my kilt. I had been hoping to get one, if not by Christmas, then at least by the New Year. It was beginning to look like that wasn’t going to happen.

My wife and I had discussed the purchase of our daughter’s kilt, so she knew that Stillwater kilts were available at very reasonable prices. She told me if I could find one I wanted, I could order a kilt from Stillwater as my gift from her. So, I now have a SWK Economy in Black Watch Tartan on order. Waiting for the kilt to arrive won’t be a problem, as I’m now familiar with their fantastic shipping. The hard part will be waiting to open the package on Christmas. I feel like a kid again!

Isn't it awful how life intrudes on our plans? One of Rocky's kilts would have been something, but at least you are getting a kilt.

Don't worry, I doubt it will be your last kilt.

Congrats on the new kilt. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. My first kilt was an SWK Economy in Black Watch, as well. I'd still be wearing it, if it hadn't gotten bigger on me (or did I get smaller?).

Merry Christmas! I'm sure you could persuade your wife to let you open ONE gift early...

Congrats on the new kilt. I have one of their Heavyweights in the Black Watch. Great one for the winter.

I know what you mean about the kilt monies being spent on something else. I was all set to order a new kilt when we got back from the games in Estes Park but we rolled the car on the way so had to speand that money, and more, on a new car, therapy, Drs etc.
