My First Kilt, and First Public Outing Kilted

Hello everyone! Today my Forest Green Canvas Kilt has arrived ! I will add pictures to the thread, when I can find our camera, which a certain 2 year old has hidden . I wore a plaid shirt, tan hose, red flashes and a Dreadbelly Jacobite blue bonnet. The bonnet had a white cockade, and clan crest. I also wore a clan crest kilt pin, and a sporran I am in the process of making. I dug out a nice belt, and we went to a friend's house to return a sippy cup which was borrowed, and then to Wal-Mart for some needed supplies. While there I heard a few people sniggering in hte background, but the funniest thing I heard all night was this: A father came up to me, and said that his son asked him why that man was wearing a dress. The dad told his son that it was a kilt. Then the son asked does that mean he kills people?
