    My first Kilt just arrived.

My SWK Black Watch kilt with 3-tassel blk leather sporran, and a Sgian Dubh with kilt pin and cuff links from Scotland just arrived. What’s next, any procedure I should be aware of when unwrapping my kilt? Would like to wear it out tonight at the bar, but do not want to rush things.

    Premature posting!

I posted before I opened the package, which as you all know contain directions, oops. The Sgian Dubh looks cheaply made not at all what I paid for it. However, the kilt pin and cuff links are very nice.

Congratulations on your first kilt, as for the sgian dubh, unfortunately the cheap knock offs seem to have filled the market.

Do SWKs have basting stitches? Just curious.

Congratulations on your purchase. Too bad about the sgian dubh, but maybe it can hold an edge and look decent peeking out from the sock.

Wear it out! Don't take the sgian dubh to the bar, but wear your kilt! You'll love it!

Few things to remember (I know Stillwater says all of this in the card provided with the kilt, but I'll repeat it): pleats go in back, basting stitches come out, kilt hangs to top of the knee, and be prepared for a lot of attention!
