My Kilt finally arrived
My MacPherson Red Muted finally arrived fro H.O.E. on Thursday night just in time for the Glengarry Games in Maxville Ontario. Here it is complete with my $15.00 work belt from Home Depot and the sporran I made for $40.00. Who says you have to spend a lot to accessorize a beautiful kilt.

That be a beautiful tartan for sure!
Stirs my wee bit of MacPherson blood.
Do give us a pleat shot so we can see the workmanship.

A great looking kilt (would like to see the pleating though) and that shade of muted red is fantastic. The belt and sporran look good too. Can I ask, did you buy the kilt from House of Edgar direct or Tartankilts.com and how much did it cost?
The Kilt is my delight !

Great kilt! I second the motion for a pleat shot.

Bit of a breeze blowing there, but it does show the pleats (and the apron) off well.

Handsome tartan indeed! Here's a little hint for your Home Depot belt. Go to a shoe repair shop and buy a bottle of Lincoln shoe dye (brown or black) and knock the color down a notch or two. It took me a couple of coats of dye followed by a little shoe polish to get the color I wanted. Be sure to let it all air out, set, and dry before wearing - I gave mine several days.
It ended up looking like this...
