My Latest Comments
Tonight my wife and I went to a big band dance and dinner, as a valentine's event. I wanted to dress up and wore my Buccleuch tartan kilt from USA Kilts, a white shirt, dark green hose with matching tartan flashes, that my wife had time to sew for me. She made her self a reddish corduroy dress, sorry no pictures, but mine is similar to what I wore at Christmas.
I was warm on top from dancing, but cool from the waist down! A few comments from the evening. The first guy said while we were standing at the bar, "I should have worn my kilt!" I asked why not, and he replied, "I used to wear one while I was in Scotland and they sure are fun to dance in. Then everybody rented one to wear to weddings." I just told him I wear one quite often.
While we were dancing, of course we got a few looks and this one lady who I thought was dressed really strange must have pointed to me. My wife said, "They are talking about us or you, because she pointed." I said, "And we are talking about her." My wife laughed. Later, when we were leaving and I walked by her, she said, "Nice kilt!" I just thanked her.
Then I had noticed a guy of a different nationality, and I always like to find out where they are from as we don't have many other nationalities around here. Usually I can guess pretty close, but this one I couldn't figure out for some reason. I guessed Mexico, because of the darker skin, but he said no. Guess again. And I couldn't tell from his accent. He finally told me it was India. Then I could see it right away. But then he said to me, " I bet I can guess your nationality - Scottish!" I replied, "Nope, not at all. I am German and Finnish. I just like wearing a kilt as they are comfortable. Now he is probably all confused. haha
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Yep, I'm sure he's all kinds of confused.

That sounds like a wonderful evening, glad you both had a good time.

Sounds like a great evening. I love spending time with my wife. We both have busy schedules and two teenagers so very rarely get an evening out alone.

Great night with good comments. Hopefully you get that guy back into his kilt!
In response to the Indian's question, wouldn't the correct answer have been, "American"?

Many people can be confused easily. Just when they think they've got the universe figured out....

Where Ya'll From?
Ha-Ha! good one.
I was in New Orleans' French Quarter in my kilt and got the "Where are you from?" so I said: "Texas, why?"

I'm often asked "Do you have any Scotch in you?"
Of course, I must reply "Yes, and in a few hours I'll have even more in me!" Single malt neat, please.
