My long-awaited new kilt-suit.
I thought (some of) you might be interested to see the new tweed kilt suit I have just received from "21st Century Kilts". Since first seeing a swatch of this tweed about two years ago, I have longed for a suit in it, and this last weekend my dream came true - I now have it! The measurements were taken in June but, because of doubts about the availabilty of the cloth, it was a long wait - nevertheless, very much a worthwhile wait. In this instance I have no regrets about that.
So here we are then:

Now I can barely wait to give the suit its first outing when, tomorrow, I am on duty for The National Trust at Petworth House - the perfect Country House setting for such a work of art!
No. of Kilts: 102. "Title": Lord Hamish Bicknell, Laird of Lochaber / Life Member: The Scottish Tartans Authority / Life Member: The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society / Member: The Ardbeg Committee / My NEW Photo Album: Sadly, and with great regret, it seems my extensive and comprehensive album may now have been lost forever!/

Wow! That is a beauty, Hamish. And I love the golden tie and reddish-tinted brown leather as it makes the tweed really "pop."

Although I am not a fan of kilt suits the tweed is smashing Hamish.

Looking good. The jacket, waistcoat and kilt really go well as a set (suit) and the oatmeal hose and brown shoes complement the whole outfit. Congratulations on a stunning new acquisition.

A wonderful look Hamish, glad you are satisfied with the end result.

You have excellent taste. That's a very nice suit, and your appointments add to it. I agree that the tie and the leather make the outfit really stand out from just another "get up."
