    My new kilt

Years ago, I had a very nice kilt that met a very bad end (thanks ex-wife). I've been without one for several years. This Monday, I ordered a Stillwater thrifty kilt. It arrived today, and I am very pleased.
Forgive the brown hose and lack of sporran, those are next on my list.

Wonderful looking kilt. Looks a tad low. You will feel it right when it is hitting you in the back of your knees. Just need to pull it up a bit. The socks are fine. Let them slide down, wear boots for the time being. A sporran is needed if you want to carry things but you can do well - especially in athletics - without it. Penacook, eh? You going to Loon? Topsham? Will look for you.

Congratulations and keep enjoying it. The smile says it all.

Congratulations! I got my first kilt earlier this week, but I'm sure after being without one for a while, you were just as glad as I was to see it delivered.

Yours is a sharp kilt, though I must confess, I may need to view it through sunglasses...

Welcome back to the kilted world! I agree with both comments above that the smile says it all.

It's true, Buchanan tartan really should have a volume control. I guess I'll have to wear the heck out of it to fade it a bit.
As to socks, I should have worn my army warm weather socks. Dark green and come darn near to the knee.

And yes, if at all humanly possible I'll be at Loon (as a spectator). I'll have my wife and girlies, whom we recently discovered are MacLarens.

Wish I was going. Our clan AGM is there this year. Stop by the Clan MacTavish tent and say "Hi" to my kinsmen if you have a mind to.

Nice! Yes, tug it up a wee bit, pair it with Army socks & boots - you'll be good to go! Perhaps you'll spy a nice daywear sporran at the next event.
