    My new SWK Wool Heavyweight!

Just a quick post to say that I now own almost 1/30 of Ham's impressive collection! I said, almost!
Kilt #2, like the 1st is an SWK. Unlike the 1st it is a wool heavyweight in the Black Shadow Tartan.
The 1st marked difference I noticed was the wieght. Wow is all I can say. It is so much more substantial than my Wallace Economy. I could tell without ever putting it on that it was going to hang better and provide more "swoosh". I also learned my lesson after the Wallace and had ordered the wool 2" smaller in the waist, the fit is much better.
The Black Shadow tartan is very cool. Prester John commented that Black is also the "MODERN CLERGY" Tartan. I had been wanting to order a Clergy Ancient or Clark, but when I saw the great price on the black wool I couldn't pass it up.
In terms of service, Jerry aqnd SWK once again outdid themseloves . I placed the order late on Thursday, and the Kilt was in todays mail (Mon.). Kudos to SWK again.
I hope to post some photos soon.

Congratulations. You've got to love that service. I'd like to have one myself. I'll keep watching with anticipation until his new stock arrives. O'Neille

Ditto. My Heavyweight Green ShadowTartan SWK arrived in just three days. Same for my Heavyweight Weathered Lamont SWK. Excellent casual wool kilts, superb service at a remarkably good price.

I can't wait to see Mystic's new kilt, but I'm off this weekend, so it'll have to wait for our quarterly trip to the Brazilian grille.

It does seem that the Shadow kilt is traditional, classic (in black!), and yet as a solid kilt lends itself to that contemporary kilt look.

The best of all possible worlds, eh?

Plus it is wool, and it is beginning to get coooooooold out there!

    Oh yeah, post the pic!

Prester John summed it up very nicely. My Stillwater Black Shadow tartan can be really dressed up formally or dressed down to a goth/industrial look and everything in between and always look great. It's a great kilt (as opposed to a "Great Kilt") it will be a favorite of yours.

Post a picture when you can.

    Cheers

Thanks for the feedback all. I'll be wearing it tonight to the "Something Russian" festival in Mogadore,OH, and I'll likely don it at school tomorrow as well.
Prester John, if you will be celebrating Great Vespers, I'll wear it then as well. I can tell already that it will be the favorite
