    My phillabeg

I got home, from work, and what did my eyes behold?
    My phillabeg has arrived!

Here's a couple pix of the new addition:

Sorry for the pix quality... we definitely need a new camera.

The fabric is much softer than I was expecting.
Colors are very rich, and go well with my Dread McFeck tam & garter snakes.
One edge is selvedged, while the other sport a 1/2" fringe.
I elected to go without cheater pleats, as I enjoy the variations in pleat that I can achieve by hand.
It holds a pleat very well, although knife pleats would not be likely (okay by me).
The foldover, at the top (over the belt) lay down nicely once I was done adjusting everything.
I plan on wearing it more, during the warm months, in lieu of my feile mor.

    Highly recommended!

There is something about pleating your own kilt. Whose your vendor? Tartan?
    Congrats on your latest! Enjoy!

Oh yeah, I wear my phillabeg in the summer too. I love it. Can't seem to figure out how to do box pleats yet, though.

Oops... forgot to put that in there.
It's from Celtic Croft, Brown Watch Homespun.
I was in a bit of a hurry, the other night, so it was not neat & tidy...
