    Names or "handles"

    Guys and Gals,

I am curious about something... Some people's names on XMARKS are kind of obvious. For myself, I use my name and last initial. Other people use a physical characteristic or a nickname or an anagram, something completely different as their name...

If you want to share, I'd invite you to tell us about your nickname (the handle you chose as your Xmarks name) and why (the reasons behind it). There have always been a few people up here whose nickname I didn't understand. I just thought others might have the same thought / curiosity.

I chose to use my own name in order to remind myself and other posters that we're real people, not 'sxyblkbelt10' but actual "joe plumbers." (sorry, couldn't resist calling out Mr. Joe Plumber)

My mom was a Hall, a sept of Skene. Skene is a knife also a sirname. A dirk is a knife & a personal name. Dirk Skene could be a real man's name. And from tooling around the internet I think I thought of it first

    Rocky,

Last name is Clark, C-Lark, SeaLark. A friend of mine gave me the idea when I was naming my boat and it kind of stuck.
