Literal translations from English into other languages usually don't work-- what helps is if you can explain exactly what you wish to convey. Then the person doing the translation can come up with an exact meaning.
What we're looking for is not a literal, word-for-word, translation but more how would an Irish Gaelic speaker would say the phrase "My family is the most important thing in my life" or some short phrase that conveys the same message.
Or in other words if there were a Clan Crest Badge with the motto in Irish Gaelic that meant "Family First" what would that phrase be?
