    "New" $54.00 Jacket

After seeing so many great ideas here on XMTS I decided I wanted a casual jacket of my own. I set out to find something that would go well with my Modern Buchanan but wasn't just navy blue etc. (not easy). I came across this wool blazer jacket at Goodwill for $4.00

This is a close up of the fabric a dark green/black wool.

An elderly friend of the family is a retired seamstress who we like to give work to. She took on the task of cutting it down for $50.00 and this is the end result which I wore for the first time on Christmas:

I wanted to keep it simple, no epaulets etc, no extra buttons or cuffs, something I could wear out comfortably. So now I have a new $54.00 jacket.
Look at Scottish guys wearing kilts - you could look at them and laugh, but the way they carry themselves, how can you? If you believe in it, that's what makes it cool.Andre Benjamin - American Rapper (formerly known as Dre) Songwriter and Musician

You made a good choice, and she did a good job. Wear it in good health.

Good on yer, Lad! Great find and tailoring. And Scots always were thrifty folk, so carrying on the tradition worked for ye.

It looks to my eye that she didn't move the pockets at all. Correct? I've done a bunch of conversions and this one looks really great.
