    new avatar

My mother sent me some of my grandmother's papers and I found this in the stack. Her sister did alot of reserch back in the 50s. I looked it up on the web and it seems to confirm the information she had acquired.

Will use it as avatar. :-D

    MrBill,

Noticed it on another thread, and almost commented then on it, but must say that is really sharp!

    Sorry, you can't do that.

The problem is that your gold (or) lion rampant violates the rule of tincture by being on ermine (argent) since both count as metals. This presents a poor contrast and would be difficult to read across a dusty battlefield.

I suggest you read up on heraldry, change the colors and resubmit.
