New 'Buying a Kilt' e-book

Hi guys

I've spent most of my spare hours of late writing an e-book, which is intended mostly as an accessible 'Made Easy' guide to help first-timers who are thinking of buying a kilt, but may also be of interest to more experienced wearers. I've tried to be as impartial and objective as possible, so it's not just promoting my own company's services.

I should stress this is a purely personal project, and views expressed therein do not represent Scotweb / Kilt Store. I'm sure there will still be some howlers in there, and doubtless plenty of my ideas and indeed facts will be open to challenge. So let me say here and now I'm totally open to suggestions and criticisms. (But please be constructive - it's been a lot of work, and I'm doing my honest best to make a positive contribution!)

You'll find it at: http://scotweb.co.uk/nick/buyingyourkilt/

And btw, it's totally free, and anyone is welcome to copy and pass it around, but please note the conditions on the first page.

Nick,

Let me be first to congratulate you on your monumental work. I've skimmed the document and read many of the sections and I believe you have produced an excellent guide. I look forward to reading it in more detail, and to the comments from the kilted legends here at X-Marks.

Now how can we force the rest of the world to read it?

Bill, who will be visiting you soon in Edinburgh!

Thanks Bill. :-)

I've been told by someone else just now that the images look pretty poor on his screen. I've tried to keep the images small to reduce the file size for download, but on a Mac they still look fine I think. Can any other PC users tell me if this is a problem. I'm afraid DTP is not my strength! I'd like to fix this asap if I can find out how.

An excellent resource Nick

Just one little point - on page 18 there is a reference to Queen Victoria and her grandfather , George IV. He was her uncle, George III was her grandfather.

Advance apologies for pedantry

Very nice job Nick!

I'm looking at the pics through FireFox an dthe pics are a bit blurry at 100% magnification. They clear up when I drop down to 50%.
