Very comprehensive. The pictures were good on my office monitor. Thanks for the hard work. O'Neille

Looks good. I just scaned it quickly, but I liked what I read.

Hey Nick!!
This is absolutely fantastic! What a wonderful reference tool. Not since "So You're Going To Wear The Kilt" Have I seen such a great text on the subject.

I skimmed it, and it looks most impressive. I DL'd it and put in on my Palm, so I can view it in full later.

I first looked at it and the pictures were pixelated and the borders around the boxes covered some of the text.
I then looked at the version of acrobat I was using and I was using version 4. Loaded version 7.0something and it looks great now. Actually it is most impressive.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I really hadn't expected such a positive response, but it's incredibly gratifying. So can I just reiterate that I'm still very open to suggestions and criticisms, from historical lapses (which will be corrected, thanks) to principled disagreements. It's not easy always to get the tone or indeed facts right in an area where there are inevitably a wide range of views, not to mention a fair amount of mythology. But I wanted to be as inclusive as possible in most regards. So any suggestions as to bits where I've missed a trick or got something wrong, even as a matter of personal opinion, would be happily received. And thanks again!

Really well done. I only wish you had written this book when I was buying my first kilt. It would have saved me countless hours of research. Oh well, it was fun anyway |

Cheers again. But I've just found out that half of you (literally) have probably been reading a pre-release draft. We use two load-balanced servers, and our techs just realised that only one of these was updated. So 50% of people will have been directed to the wrong page. It's now corrected. But if you want to make sure you've the latest version, please check that it says 'v 1.0' on the front cover, and NOT v.0.9.1
Sorry for the confusion - the latest version will always be at: http://www.scotweb.co.uk/nick/buyingyourkilt/ | | | | X Marks Advertisers | | For Quality Scottish Made Products at Affordable Prices | | | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
