    New Social Group--The Tartan Riders

Due to another couple threads about tartan themed cylewear it seems that there is a significant number of folks here on xmarks who enjoy cycling for leisure or sport (non-motorized). This group will allow those members who wear kilts and who cycle (not necessarily at the same time, however) to meet, exchange contact info, maybe pick up a new cycling buddy or two, maybe find someone to cycle with when you travel with your bike, or someone to help you with advice on where to cycle if you are visiting their part of the world. Perhaps we might be able to get a gathering of cyclists together for a charity ride or adventure somewhere . We are also trying to organize and design tartan based cycle wear that we can order in small batches that will not be outrageously priced. Stop in, sign up, and bring your own wheels and cup of joe.

Jeff (idea stimulated by Cavscout, name generated by ForresterModern)

I will try to find an appropriate avatar for the group soon.

I like it KFC. A ride with style, and kilted to boot.

Don't think I would want to try it regimental though. Oohh! Hurts just thinking about it.

Awesome! I love riding. I own a Giant Revive at the moment and I dig it. One of these days I want to get a tri-recumbent from Sun. Ride on!

Someone please send a group invitation to way2fractious

In stages he actually travelled across the United States by bicycle and has met up with other X Markers doing it!

He is also finished (survived) the infamous "Death Ride"

    Cheers

As a dreamer of dreams, and a travelin' man, I have chalked up many of miles, read dozens of books about heros and crooks and learned much from both of their styles.
