    new type of jones?

Sure everyone's had that feeling of waiting for a kilt before but this might be a new one. Earlier this evening I received an e-mail from Rocky in response to a request about my grey granite kilt on order from him. In the e-mail Rocky mentioned he was going to be starting my kilt in about 10 minutes! Has anyone ever known when a kilt on order was actually being constructed?

Lucky you! All I've ever known was "not yet... not yet... not yet..."

This will be 8:55 pm EST on a Friday night sounds great but what if your kiltmaker has already started on the barley sandwiches?

    Canawler:
When Rocky made my Gunn modern a couple of months ago, it was originally going to be a MacDonald modern. When Rocky set out to construct it, he discovered the fabric was not "up to par" so he gave me a call. He gave me some options, and I decided on the Gunn modern instead. Anyhow, he told me he was going to make it... right then. So, yes. I DO know what you're going through.

    Possingk:
BRING ON THE PICTURES! I've not yet seen a kilt in that tartan, and I am REALLY looking forward to it.

When both my kilt and shirt were being made, I received regular updates from Steve and Bobbie at Freedom Kilts. "The material is being washed today." "The material is on the table and being cut." "I'm working on the sleeves today." It almost felt like I was there! However, it only made the jonesing worse but in a good way!

And this is why men and women become kilt makers. Not to provide the world with kilts, but to inflict sadistic torture.

Hmm, they should talk about this on career day in school.

First off Congrats on the new kilts canawler, and possingk. I have never had that experience,

I'm thinking of a new scene for Braveheart Mel is standing there and the Royal Magistrate says, " You have been found guilty of treason the punishment for which is having a kilt made, and being told in detail exactly what is happening with it!"

The twist is of course the kilt is never finished.
"If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say this or that even, it never happened—that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death."
