NJ Turnpike Travel Story

Thought you might get a kick out of this. Last week I was on vacation (Maryland, Pennsylvania) and on the drive back north to New Hampshire we stopped at one of the turnpike restaurants/rest stops. I was kilted for the entire week and this day was no different. I was wearing one of Rocky's Modern Gordon kilt, green hose (scrunched down), s3@lskin sporran, buttondown shirt, black belt and shoes. As I was walking out of the restaurant, I held the door for a husband and wife (about 60-65 years old). The wife says to me, "You look so CUTE!" I was flattered and a little flustered (I'm 52 years old, for cry out loud) but was very appreciative of the compliment. What happened next was even more momorable. The husband, without missing a beat said to me "Yeah, you do!" The two kept walking and I remembered again yet another reason why wearing the kilt is so grand. IT MAKES YOU FEEL EVEN BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF THAN YOU DID WHEN YOU WOKE UP THIS MORNING!!

I am sure they meant it as you seemed to take it .... a lighthearted jovial complement. It is slightly irritating, but what you gonna do? They really mean no harm Nice story.

I held the door open for an older couple this morning, the husband asks me

"Is it true they don't wear any underwear under those things?"

So my answer was "It Depends."

Had a few other comments today but I thought the way he phrased it struck me as funny.

Had to re-read your response to ensure it didn't read "It's Depends"!
