    No Mo' Jones

My SWK economy kilt in the Black Watch tartan arrived last night, so the Jones has finally ended, and I have my first kilt! Generally I'm pleased with the kilt, but it needs to be pressed before I can wear it in public. Not that that's a big deal, I need a belt before I wear it out anyways, but it makes me wonder if there's not a better way for Stillwater to ship their kilts. Also, the buckles are a bit wonky and hard to do up, but that's easily fixed. And the colours are great! It's a bit darker than I was expecting, but that's fine since I usually only wear black and grey anyways.

So now I'm just waiting for the clansman belt I ordered from the Scottish Tartans Museum, and the hose and flashes I ordered from USA Kilts. Next on the wishlist? A jacket!!!

Congratulations! You might try steaming the kilts in your bathroom and letting them hang for a couple of days before you press them - an if you do press them, remember they are acrylic.

Welcome to the world and all that comes with it. Enjoy. This morning I was asked if I played the bagpipes and I said "No, but I've heard them" and they didn't even blink.
    Peace to you,

Congrats on your first kilt! Although I have 4, 16 oz, 5 yard kilts made in Scotland, I'm also a big fan of Stillwater kilts. Jerry does a real service for many of us by providing some very nice kilts at low cost. I have 10 Stillwaters - 3 wool, 3 standards, and 4 economies. I really like the economies for lightweight, casual wear when the mercury gets up to 90 F or higher.

With kilts being so addicting you will probably be Jonesing many more times in the future.

Well, I just grabbed a MacKenzie Casual from the closeout page....have any of you noticed those?

Knowing the preternaturally fast shipping through the Minneapolis/Chicago kilt pipeline, I'll probably have it by Thursday and I'll make a mighty effort to do a picture. I'm a total delinquent on doing piccies, I know, but I'll try to do this one.

Haven't had a SWK casual up to now but I expect they don't disappoint.
