Old kilt outfit on Ebay Canada, buttons?

I hope the above is a useable link, my technical ability is somewhat limited. I posted this for a couple of reasons. Obviously this could be an excellent deal for one of our members----but also, to see if others had run across "traditional" kilts with buttons that didn't date back to WWI.

Also notice that there are two vests. The under vest is attached to the top of the kilt. So the kilt is not fastened on its own, just held closed with two buttons. Almost like really long, pleated tails on the vest.

I think one of our Canadian brothers should grab this and then donate it to Matt and the museum.

It used to not be uncommon for children's kilts to be made with attached vest like we see here in this auction item. The measurements on this certainly incidate that it could have been made for an older child (or a very small man). The sporran also looks child-sized.

I wonder, was it for a military band? That is most definitely a military, or band member's sporran. Good find though....

This is a young persons kilt outfit.
The chest measurement is 30"
The waist measurement is 27"
The kilt has a drop of 19.5"
And if you take the sleeve to hem measurement, the person was between 5' 0" and 5' 4"

Having the vest and kilts as "one" would be ideal for an active child, kind of like bib overalls. Also at a young adult they may well have not hips to hold the kilt up.
