i ignore all the negative, its alot easier to wear a kilt when you do that, it takes some time though, specially going to a High School full of uncultured hicks

I have found that if you stick with it for some reason the negative comments stop, I am not sure if that is because of some kind of new found confidence I exude or the fact that I just don't listen to them anymore. The positive comments continue though.

I can count the negative comments on two hands and of those, eight of the fingers point to one person.

In 26 months, now....two negative comments for sure, and potentially another in a language I didn't understand. Stand that up against the two cute graduate students today who told me that A.) I looked ten years younger than i am, and B.) if all the men at the Highland Games looked like me they couldn't go because it would be too stressful on their emotional states...

....and I know what *I'm* gonna keep wearing!

When I got my first kilt , cool was the first word I heard. (oh yeah, I said that) It was also the first word my son said when he saw it!

Alan, the Luminous Joan notwithstanding, you definitely dwell in a target-rich environment.

Although I've spend a grand total of 14 hours kilted, the majority of comments on my wearing the kilt were to the effect of "cool". The only dissenting voice came from my g/f who was quite appalled and embarassed by it. I guess she thought I was kidding when I told her I was getting one.
