Only an Xmarker could have a 'Jones' for this Museum

Hey all--its that time of year. Mrs. Pete and I have managed to squirrel away some days off and together with our trusty beagle, are headed to the mountains of western North Carolina! You guessed it---FRANKLIN! Ahhhh, the banks of the Little Tennessee and the Cullusaja. The land of bisquits and gravy, Indian Mounds, flea markets, my family's vacation home and most importantly the...Scottish Tartans Museum!!!!!!!!

About to begin a great week of kilted fun: flyfishing, hiking parts of the AP. Trail and spending all my extra pocket change at Matt's place (ya know he's creating the tartan I designed).

With a recent bout of sad news from various sources--what a gift it is to remind oneself of the simple pleasures---and enjoy them.

It would be fun to go, especially if I'm ever in the area.

In NC they also have this wonderful treat called Liver Mush. It might also be called Liver Pudding. I always bring some back when I make a trip to visit family.

    Have a good time!

Two different things entirely. Livermuch is the testure of polenta and can be fried nice and crispy and eaten as a sammidge or on sodie crackers. Liver pudding is a spread that can be eatne as a sammidge or on sodie crackers. There's a difference.

Ahhh, those were the days. I've not been able to find a vegan livermush.
