Ordered my first kilt (Stillwater thrifty)
I have been wanting a kilt forever and I decided to give in to the sweet temptation and buy one. I will post a pic as soon as I can. I plan on also buying my sporran and belt from them as well. I have been walking TALL all day and I have not even put it on!

Hi Josh,
If you are looking at sporrans, I can recommend the Stillwater Nightstalker. Mine is in brown leather, but they do black leather and Cordova as well.

I agree! Out of all my sporrans it's the one I use the most. Congrats on your first kilt purchase...

Congratulations! Welcome to the addiction.
Bit of advice: if you like the Thrify model you'll love a more traditionally made kilt. The Thrifty is very light and thin, no comparison to a wool "real" kilt. World of difference.

I have a thrifty, I wouldn't wear it out in public but it's great for lounging bout the house.
The SWK Nightstalker sporran is fantastic tho, I have a leather and a nylon one and 99% of the time I pick one of those.

Re: Ordered my first kilt (Stillwater thrifty)
Welcome from the frigid central coast.
A Stillwater Thrifty is this writer's favourite summer kilt; the velcro closure, light weight, forgiving fabric, perfect with a tee or Hawaiian shirt and a beer.
For your next one, give their Economy a serious look; real straps and an upgrade for only a few copper drachmas and iron rils. And the Stillwater Standard is to this mind a tremendous bargain, as well.
Enjoy!
