Check the photos: free kilts! No doubt as a result of my inflicting a UK on my coworkers today, one of them just remembered to tell me about her family's success in this local Eastern Ontario event. I will avoid mention of the unfortunate Gibsonian face painting... OK, actually that's pretty funny.
I think there was some Xmarks mention of this event last year, but this year it completly passed me by, even with the added attraction of a free 'fun kilt' for participants which should have caught my attention. The whole thing in fact seems like a really great idea but did not get mention in my nearby big-city media- maybe the Village of Perth wants to keep it local.
My coworker's very small son came won in his age division and received a "real sporran" as a prize. An elderly relative of the same family came in first in his division and won one too. So my dilemma is: who do I want to try and deal a day sporran off of, a little boy or a (very) senior citizen?![]()
EDIT: Correction: Not my coworker's son, etc, the son of a friend of my coworker's. Giving me almost zero leverage in buying the sporrans...![]()
