Pipes over Half Dome
One of the greatest thrills a person can experience in Yosemite is to climb the back of Half Dome and take in the incredible view of the valley. When I did that back in the late '70's, I thought the only thing missing was a piper.
Well,...David Quinn, a piper, made the 5 plus hour hike to the top with his pipes and created a life milestone for himself.
On the first clip, he plays Amazing Grace. On the second, he plays Scotland the Brave and Highland Cathedral.

Before you judge someone be sure to walk a mile in their kilt.
That way you are at least a mile away and you have their kilt...

Someday I hope to pipe from the top of Mount Washington, Sargent's Purchase, New Hampshire. It has been a dream for many years.
Quinn's piping at the precipice was awesome. I too would have loved to be there when it happened.

Playing bagbipes on top of Half Dome is spectacular.
The next step will be an astronaut playing it in the International Space Station.
There certainly one of them who can play the bagpipes and carry it in orbit.

I'd like to see that. However, what tune would be the most appropriate for the station?
