    Talking Poking fun at ourselves

I was looking for references for the "ladies from hell" in WWI and stumbled across this wee bit of humour from the competitor to wikipedia: uncyclopedia. It makes a fun read and I have to admit, I did chuckle.

Whoever wrote that had a great sense of humor
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

    That is hilarious.
Though it seems to me the transvestites would be good at ironing. Just a thought.

It just shows you how some people view it, even just for fun.

I guess that answers the age-old question, "Which came first: the catholic school girl or the madman with the broadsword?"

Ummm. I don't find this the least bit funny. Not at all. Is Uncyclopedia supposed to be some sort of satire site that I've missed?

If not then as far as I'm concerned this kind of crap should be shut down.

If it is then I say go for it BUT with some sort of disclaimer that the info on the site is a joke.

I thought it was very funny, but will add - before you can say "Great Scotland!" there will be some who will quote this as gospel. Great fun, but only if taken with a grain of salt.
