The possibilities are endless
Not being anywhere near as hardcore a kilt wearer as many members here, I have amassed a small amount of kilt and kilt related goodies which leave me with a lot of possible kilt outfits. This being the case I know realize I will be needing to wear a kilt much more often than I have been.
The essentials I've amassed are: 3 kilts, Hunting MacKintosh tank, SWK heavyweight Black Watch, and a SWK Nightstalker.
Toss in 3 sets of flashes: Matching MacKintosh, plain black, and plain brown.
Mix thoroughly with 5 set o' hose: off-white, grey, dark green, black, and lovat green.
top this off with any of the following: tweed coat, sweater, fleece, tattersal, button down, or rugby jersey.
These are all the elements of a kilt addiction. This, being just a fraction of what I know some members have, still leads up to some damned spiffy looking outfits.

Sounds like the start of a problem, to date I have 2 kilts and a bunch of accessories and I have been wearing kilts everyday for 3 weeks now.

As you start to wear a kilt more often, you may notice that you become much more focused on the shirts, sweaters, etc. that you purchase. That is, you may purchase colors that you know are going to go well with your kilts. Indeed, as you said, the possibilities are endless. Even with a small number of kilts, you can have many, very nice looking outfits.
Enjoy your kilts/outfits.

"May" ?? I think it's been quite a while since I've purchased anything in the way of clothing without direct thought about which kilts the item will match!
