Poster at the Highland games
My wife and I were walking around at the Richmond Games, when I walked by a tent selling Amerikilts. There was a large poster out front showing a bare backed gentleman wearing an Amerikilt somewhere out in the American desert country. He had a large tatoo of a turtle on his back, I just had to step inside and ask, "is that poster outside a picture of Ron MacDonald?" Lo and behold, it was. Our own Mr 8000, Riverkilt, is showcaseded on a poster in Richmond Va.

Still love that back piece Ron. That's the first time I've seen a real good close up of it. You should go tip that artist again!

Very cool back piece; as a newbie please, where, when, who? My MIM shoulder was done by Craig Helmich, August 2007, Maui HI.

Guy's name is Matt Green. April 12 to May 7, 2004. He left town a few years ago, went home to Mississippi Gulf then got "Katrina'd out" to North Carolina. Last I heard he was in Northern Alabama. Did find his My Space but had no way to communicate to send him pics of his work.
The backwork took 24 hours if I recall, about eight three-hour sessions. He was tipped well for each...but I agree Bradley...especially since my trip to Maui when all the Native Hawaiians were complimenting me on it at the beach.
Goes well with kilts too.
