    The Postlady

Sometimes we have a postman, and sometimes we have a postlady who deliver our mail. Anyhow, I was making a cuppa this morning when the door bell rang. I opened the door and there was the postlady with a small package for next door. Since she had got no answer there, she asked me if I could hand it in to them when they return home later, which I will do. She then said that she loved to see a man in a Cilt/Kilt. 'It shows the men from the mice' she continued. She then said that most of her family are Irish and her step stepmother was Scottish .. she did give me all their various surnames and told me they all had a family tartan although none of them had a Cilt/Kilt but some of the family back in Ireland had done some Irish Dancing back in the past. Then she went on again about my Cilt and thought it was brill that I wear it simply because I want to. We chatted for 10mins, then she said she had better go and get on with her deliveries. 'Look forward to seeing you again' she said. And off she went. Really gives one nice little boost when you get conversations like this.

I love these sort of comments. It really shows that people want to help expand the wearing of the Cilt/Kilt.

Thanks Derek for sharing this moment with us.

    No kidding!

Derek.... You've become the Cilt Crusader of Wales! I couldn't help mentally comparing some of your recent stories with some of your early posts. You've come a long way, mate! Although I suppose the same thing could be said for quite a few others here as well. Of course Xmarks tends to do that to a man!
