The problem with kilts with pockets...
So, I threw my UK original in the wash, cuz I plan on wearing to the Cowboys v. Buccaneers game tomorrow (my first live NFL game!), and then settle in to smoke my pipe... except I can't find my pipe... About 10 minutes in to the wash cycle it dawns on me that the last time I smoked said pipe, I was wearing the UK... Grrr. Arg.
Sure enough, there it was, sopping wet and with most of the caked soot washed out... Now I gotta break the stupid thing in again... once it dries out anyways.
I've left a lot of dumb things in jeans pockets, but due to size, nothing quite like a pipe. Stupid kilt. Okay, stupid me...

Just makes it look better...
Tell them the soot is from the time you saved kittens from a burning church.
Always works.

Hi,
Did the same thing about a year ago with a cellular phone; took it out, let it dry, recharged the battery and its still working fine. So this is far more common than you think.

I'm sorry Captain (go Bucs BTW, not that I expect them to win), but how do kilts with pockets add to forgetfulness?

Hey, I'm not completely blaming the pockets... I know I'm forgetful. But they're so dang big that stuff just gets lost in there!
I had great hopes for the Bucs before the season started, that's the whole reason we decided to go to the Thanksgiving Day game (well, that and we didn't know anyone in Dallas, and knew the family wouldn't come see us on T-Day)... Oh well, I'll have to settle for the experience of a live NFL game and just not care what teams are playing I guess...

Very true Captain!
I'm forever leaving pens in the pockets of my workman's...they all seem to have an ink spot at the bottom now...
Worse, I "lose" my keys wearing my UK Mockers and Survivals until I remember the DEEP pockets and sure enough if I bend over to the side and reach deep I find the keys in the bottom of the pocket...

They don't. But, have you ever washed a sporran?

The simplest way to forgetting things in your UK pockets is to REMOVE the pockets as I have done..
