Hello all!
Here's a couple of pictures of me in my new MacNaughton Casual from USA Kilts! I'm quite happy with this! It's all the quality I would hope for in USA Kilts! Thank you, Rocky, for helping my wife pick out the perfect first kilt! I do have one question though: This kilt didn't come with any basting stitches whatsoever... Is that normal and also do I still need to baste it when pressing it?
All in all, I love the kilt! I've been wearing it since I opened it up! lol Without further ado, I present the pictures (with utmost apologies to Jock Scot for the flatcap! )
One other question... Am I supposed to cut these tassles loose on the sporran? Each piece of fringe is joined at the bottom.
I got the usual questions from the family that came and visited but overall, quite a warmer response to the kilt than I expected! Can't wait to wear this out and about!

Congrats on the new kilt! I wore my new USAK casual with the full family for the first time today. They got used to it quickly and I've got a cousin who's interested in finding a kilt for himself.
As for basting stitches: my casual didn't come with any and when I washed it last week I had no problems. I washed it in cold water on the gentle cycle and then hung it up to dry. Simply running my fingers down the pleats made them look as good as new. Incredible!

Incredible! | I've had a USAK casual just over 2 years, and have not had to press it yet! In fact, I don't recall ever using an iron with any of my USAKs.

Nice!! Good to see I'm not the only one with a new kilt this Christmas. That, sir, is a beautiful tartan. Now... I need to go back upstairs and continue coping with the ten people in my house... (That's ten... aside from my own family... so a total of 14! I repeat... Good thing I have unbifurcation- in this case a mid shin length nightshirt- to help me maintain comfort and keep me from SNAPPING! As my dad says- guests bring happiness- some by coming and some by leaving!)

Got a one of USA's American Heritage tartans in trade and it came yesterday. What an awesome first tartan. Feels like it should be twice the price. Don't get any ideas Rocky- George

Congratulations on a good looking kilt.
