I do like both designs, I'm just not sure which I like better.

I'm with KT, Ilike 2a. The knots seem to stand out more.

Make sure it matches with the kilt color you are buying, instead of clashing.
Neeat belt buckle, though. How wide is the belt?

2a gets my vote, IMHO the pewter type or dull finshes look better with a casual or highland day wear. I know it says chrome, but the picture looks more like an antique finish.
