    Ready for Dinner?

Well, my kilt is finished! Obviously, I don't have all the formal accoutrements. I don't even have a kilt belt. But, besides that, does it look like I'm ready for dinner tomorrow night (Friday)?

The tartan is Black Watch, it's an 8 yard kilt, done in poly by my wife over the past week. I made the sporran this afternoon out of leather. Thanks for the heads up to whoever posted earlier about the celtic knot fabric store buttons.

I'll post pics when I get home this weekend.

Thanks for all of the informative posts. I couldn't have gotten this far without all of the info on this site. Thanks especially to Hamish for his advice on "the rules."

Joel, as I keep saying, there are no rules, only guidelines and a certain amount of tradition! Whatever! Glad to have been of service to you.

The finished products look good and so congratulations to the good lady and to you.

Thanks Hamish - that time I was teasing you.

Really, tho, thanks again for your guidance.

And my wife says thanks for the compliment.

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

Wow!... a wife who not only likes her man in a kilt but makes 'em as well. Does it get any better than that?!

When I looked at the tartan I thought of campbell, one of a dozen or so tartans I recognize on sight. Oh well...

Hope you have fun with the dinner guests! :-)

Campbell is identical to Black Watch ancient, so you're not far off ;)
