    In Recognition of our Vendors

Starting at the beginning of next month the Moderating Staff will be posting a “stickied” thread at the top of our General Kilt Talk forum in recognition of one of our great vendors here at X Marks the Scot. Each month a different vendor will be selected and they will decide how they would like to use this thread. Options include promotions, contests, roll outs of new products, company or personal histories, looks behind the scenes , or statements.

It is our hope that our the members will take the time to visit the sponsors who help to make X-Marks the Scot possible.

As has been often noted, Hank and the staff here are very particular about the conduct of our membership here. We take equal care in deciding which vendors are a good fit for our Forum. The businesses that support X Marks all provide quality goods and excellent Customer Service. They may not always offer the cheapest goods available, but you can count on them to stand by their wares, their craftsmanship, and their customers. We are honored not only by their sponsorship but their participation on XMTS.

USA Kilts, Freedom Kilts, The Scottish Tartans Muesum, Union Kilts, The Kilt Store, The Celtic Croft, Stillwater Kilts, Empire Canvas Works, tartanweb, Scotland on TV (and don't forget Clan MacBubba!) have a presence here and at the very least make sure to listen to the feedback of our members to their businesses. Some like Steve, Rocky, Kevin, and Matt have offered a lot of help and advice to our intrepid do-it-yourselfers. These companies and individuals are an essential part of this online community.

These good people have consistently shown themselves to be worthy of your business and we hope that this program will help us all not let these great companies become so familiar a face on our forum that we forget to give them our patronage.

    Sincerely

    Hank and the Moderating Staff

    That's a great idea Panache!
I shut my eyes and turn’d them on my heart.
As a man calls for wine before he fights,
I ask’d one draught of earlier, happier sights,
Ere fitly I could hope to play my part.

That is a wonderful idea! I support that completely, as I have already made the decision to purchase as much of the items I require from our vendors as possible.

This will be great as a way to keep the rabble informed. And hopefully providing the financial feedback necessary to keep the sponsors here.

We will be announcing the first featured vendor tomorrow. One of the mods will announce which vendor was been selected. That tread will become a sticky in the General Kilt Talk forum. The selected vendor will add an additional thread to tell us about themselves, or ???

I personally think this will be a great way to re familiarize ourselves with out great vendors and to help us show them our support.
