Not quite "kilt" related but funny for kilt reasons anyway. Watched Mel Gibson in "Beyond Thunderdome" Saturday night and noticed that the large bald guy that regulates trade in Bartertown wears a rabbit fur dress sporran as a trader's pouch in front of his leather pants. You can see it clearly when they take Mel to his "interview" with Aunty Enmity. Had to look twice and laughed myself silly.

I take it this was in the "Beyond Thunderdome" version. Don't recall that scene very well, was Mel wearing blue face paint?

Also, now you mention it, I don't see how anyone could starve like that in Auz, what with all the rabbits available....

In the movie Tin Man (a remake of the movie The Wizard of Oz), there's an entire encampment of rebels wearing distressed Utilikilts. We need more kilt scenes to enter mainstream movies and T.V.
