    Samurai

As this is my 100th post, can somebody tell me what the connection to the samurai is?

    Cheers

Personally, I have a hard time imagining a kilted samurai--it makes no sense to me. So I've been trying to get out of samurai status as fast as possible.

    Maybe that was the intent?

Just to be funny, I guess. Maybe they expect you to grow a topnot and learn to use a katana?

Sorry guys, you'd have to ask Hank as he made the titles long before any of us were mods.

If I remember correctly it had more to do with the status of a samurai. A well trained warrior in the arts of war and patients. It's a compliment not a literal image fellas

    That should answer the question.

All forums have some variation on this ranking system. One assumes that other than giving members incentive to post so that they can achieve rank, the ranking system gives some kind of idea of a poster's experience and involvement to a casual forum browser.

Be grateful that the classification is "samurai"...it at least bestows some kind of honorable image. Would you prefer fish names? Kilted Guppy, Kilted Minnow, Kilted Shad, Kilted BlueGill...etc? That would made Ron Riverkilt the Kilted Blue Whale...

Does that make the The F-H.C.A.G. and Retro Red, Kilted Red Snappers?
