Saw my first trad kilt on the street
I was heading to the grocery store on Sunday afternoon when I was passed by two men. One was wearing a traditional kilt -- Gordon, I think the tartan was -- nice sporran, hose, Oxford shoes, dark green Jacobite shirt and a cap (not sure which one) of the same color. So which of you was in Seattle this weekend?
First time I've ever seen the full get-up outside of the Games or some kind of dress-up situation. I also liked that I could identify what he was wearing and tell that it was all put together correctly.

I've yet to (and doubt I will any time soon around here) see anyone wearing ANY sort of kilt on the street. Well, my cousin now has an Ireland's National. I'm sure to see him piddling about town in it. But, that doesn't really count does it?

Of course it counts. particularly if you saw him in a public place without his knowledge at first sight.

'twasn't I... Wore a trad. kilt on Saturday, when I was headed to a buddy's rather casual wedding. So, I was kinda dressed down a bit. Black t-shirt, Armstrong kilt, bottle green hose, red flashes, black day sporran, black Shambles kilt belt (sold by Utilikilts - has a normal belt buckle), and my Asolo hiking boots. As usual, long ponytail (not as long as Ron's, though)... Wasn't the only kilted guy at the wedding. Saw a black UK and a guy in another traditional kilt. Didn't recognize the tartan...
Didn't go to Seattle that day, but did go to Issaquah, then to Renton for the wedding. On my way home, headed up to Kenmore to drop off a couple rolls of film and also to Redmond for a bit.
