Smile Scotland V Georgia Saturday 24th March

I have'nt got a ticket for the game tomorrow so I'll be watching the game in a pub in the west end of Glasgow, kick-off 3pm, any other X-Markers or Tartan Army foot soldiers about in the west end tomorrow.

This one confused me for a moment or three. The title had me thinking of the university of Georgia (here in the states). I assume that this game is with the republic of Georgia that used to be part of the Soviet Union?

No, sorry I won't be in Glasgow this Saturday as I'll be staying local this weekend for our local Reivers Festival. Hoping for a good result and no doubt there will be lots of kilts out and about in Glasgow tomorrow to support Scotland.

I always just call it "Gruzia" to avoid the state/nation confusion . . . but it helps to speak Russian! (I can't even hardly speak "Gruzinskii" or "Georgian.")

I guess it does not really matter, but I am torn on the outcome of this game.... I have a Scottish background, but visited Georgia (Mt. Elbrus region) a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed my time there.

Either way, I hope the game is entertaining and well played!

Its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it,and remove all doubt.

Well, I'll be in Glasgow, as I live there, but I'll also be at work until 4.
I'll probably be heading out to the west end after work to meet a friend of mine who is visiting from American with her boyfriend from Perthshire. (Oh, international!)
If you're in any of the pubs I frequent then I'll be sure to say hello.

Ah the Rubaiyat in Byres Road - was a favorite student haunt in my days at Glasgow University 1969 to 1972.
