    Shopping story

Yesterday I was doing a little shopping, dressed in my USAK casual Buchanan. I walked up next to a 13 or 14 year old black lad and he looked at me and said "excuse me sir" and went over to his dad.

They looked at me and talked for a minute and he came back over and said "excuse me sir, when you first stood next to me I thought you were Rowdy Roddy Piper, he wears one of those, and I went over to my dad to get a pen to get your autograph"! I told him that I wasn't Piper because I'm much bigger and meaner. We both had a laugh, then he looked at the kilt and finally said "sir, that looks really tight" (squared away, good looking).

He wished me a Merry Christmas and shook my hand.
A very nice, polite young man.
    It made my day.

What a polite young man! You certainly don't see that much any more. Sounds like a good time out.

    Cool, glad to hear it.

That lad has parents that can really be called parents. Good on them and him.

Good on that little guy. You certainly don't see near enough of that sort of etiquette.
