My wife made a comment a few months back that I have more 'skirts' than her. I've wanted her in skirts for years, but she never wears them. I decided to wear a kilt the entire 3 day weekend, and on day two she decided she wanted new shoes (she bought 2 pair?!?) so that she could wear a skirt to work on Tues. (today)
Its really funny, as we headed out Mon she asked why I was kilted instead of shorts, told her it was more comfortable. She laughed. A few hours later, she is talking to her sister, and she tells her that she wanted to wear a skirt for Tues because it is more comfortable. I had to give her a bit of grief.
Today, as she got home, I asked her if she enjoyed her freedom from the dreaded pants, and she exclaimed much she like having swish.
Really, I have known her for over 10 years, this is the first she has ever even thought to wear a skirt barring fancy events. And most of her reasons are the base kilt reasons.
I think she has kilt envy. I really wonder just what to expect from her over the summer.

That is really quite funny! Similar experiences have happened between my wife and me. However, when she asks why I enjoy being kilted, I generally respond I like the swish on the backs of my knee. She will laugh at me HOWEVER, when she wears certain skirts I ask her the parts that she enjoys and she says she like the way the skirt flows in the breeze. i.e. she is saying she likes the swish with out me being able to say "I told you so."

My wife is always pulling my leg by refering to my kilt as "Your skirt". Also she just doesn't understand 'the comfort' excuse and never will !

I'm in the club too... My wife would always call it a skirt.. Still does, but getting a wee bit better. Now it's no longer a "skirt" but a "skir...uh.. kilt."
As in... "Love, please put your skir..uh..kilt away. It's been sitting on the chair for days."

My wife got me both the kilts I have now. She prefers me in kilts when we go out!

Interesting. This is exactly what I'm observing for couple of weeks. I'm not saying that she never wore a skirt, but not really often for last couple of years. Even today in rather bad weather (rain and temp. drop) she put skirt on.
And yes, my kilts are skirts for her (just to tease me).

Form the title of this thread, I was expecting something in the likes of "Silly wife, Kilts are for men..."
My wife loves the kilt, but she hates the fact that it takes me more time to don it and all the accessories than her and what ever she'll be wearing. For some reason, I don't mind about taking all the time that I want.....

My wife just complains that my kilts take up more closet space than her dresses. But then she does wear dresses and skirts more than she wears pants.

About the same her but she has never refered to my kilts as SKIRTS. I think she know better.
