Since Welsh Cilts have been mentioned ..

Next week we are meeting up with Hamish in London for another day out. Ham has indicated to me that he most probably will wear his new Brithdwr Dewi Sant Welsh Cilt. So there will be at least two Welsh Cilts in London next week. How many members are there now that have or have on order a Welsh Cilt. It was mentioned in the other thread about the weight of a Welsh Cilt. They are 13/14oz and they have a good hem on them. The hem on my Cilt is 2". It certainly adds extra weight to the Cilt. I have never had my Cilt being 'out of control' due to the wind so far, and we have gales galore here in Wales when the bad weather sets in.

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I ordered my Edwards tartan cilt yesterday.

One Williams of Wales cilt on order, due in mid-January.

Bryan...the swatch is much nicer than the color on the monitor, too...

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

And I am looking forward to giving that cilt its first public airing, Derek! However, if the weather does not warm up a little before next Tuesday, I may be forced into thinking of wearing one of my heavier kilts. After weeks of unseasonally mild weather (with many of the Spring plants bursting into flower, some birds nesting and the autumn/fall leaf fall hardly begun!!), we are in the midst of a run of cold sunny days and possibly heavier night frosts than we've had for a year or two. I was out shopping most of today and, either I am growing much older (and therefore feeling the cold more) or that north wind really had a knife-edge to it. I'll re-assess the conditions on Tuesday morning!!!

Looking forward to seeing you all in London.
