Ya know... come to think of it, I don't have a picture of me in my first kilt (a Gunn Modern from the nice folks at Celtic Croft.

I remember getting it like it was yesterday, though: there it was on my porch, wrapped and waiting for me, as my family and I pulled into the driveway as we got home AFTER THE ANNUAL ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE.

Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!

I'd be so on edge if i were you. I continue the wait for mine... it's building... I will potentially miss my deadline for an evebt but frankly, as if I'll need to find a reason to wear it :P

It will be worth the wait. Here's a picture of me in my first kilt - a Stillwater heavyweight Blackwatch. The bonus was - I got it two days after I ordered it.

Waiting is indeed the hardest part. I felt the same way, Initially you try to put it out of your mind trying to tell yourself that it's a few weeks away.

Then as the date approaches, it gets worse.. and worse..

Anyhow, here's a photo of my new kilt that arrived not too long ago.

Now, this is a funny story. I was not sure I was going to want to wear the kilt when I ordered the above. It was a Stillwater Standard acrylic kilt that arrived 1 hour before I ordered it (Thanks to Jerry's flying squirrel delivery and time warping).

After I had it strapped on for 1 day, I ordered an 8 yard tank and a 4 yard box pleat. Sadly, this kilt no longer exists as it was shipped to my nephew. However, I am sitting at 9 kilts and am still looking at more!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
