    So she asked me ...

"Is there Scottish music playing"? I confessed that I could hear none. Eventually understanding the source of her confusion I instructed, "Sometimes they are worn without music".

A throw away line that is also profound and so funny. I am going to be quoting this so often.

    Thanks

    Nice.

Of course we march to the beat of a drummer that only we can hear.

"No, Elton John is playing in my head. 'The B**ch Is Back,' can't you hear it?"

I love it when I can steal a great new comeback line from this forum. Thanks!

I think it will go well with "Where are your bagpipes?" too. Just enough of a twist to get them thinking....

Re: So she asked me ...

At our Kilt night last weekend at the Playwright Pub, several of us were standing together listening to the Traditional Irish Music being played when a woman approached us and asked if we were going to be playing next. "No" I replied, "We're Scottish, this is an Irish Pub". She looked serious for a moment then said "Oh", and walked away.
