Tonight was my kiddos last swim lesson for the summer (he passed by the way) and I was in the locker room waiting for him to finish his shower. There were a couple of teenagers and their dad in the locker room with us.

I heard some whispers, and caught a pointed finger out of the corner of my eye. Expecting the rude comment when I walked by, I was totally surprised to hear "You are rocking that kilt!" And "That is so cool!" I turned back to them and we had a quick talk about kilts and comfort, and then their dad came over and asked where I got it from.

Overall a very nice surprise!

Kilts are becoming mainstream. I hope everybody's ready for the day we wear kilts not to stand out.

I certainly did. I would not be surprised if Jerry at SWK got an order for a few kilts in the next little bit.

It would also be real nice to have a few locals on the list!

I had a similar comment today as well. I had done some cheap shopping at Target, and was standing out front waiting for my ride home. A woman walked out with (presumably) her two children, and the male (teen) asked me why I was wearing a kilt. My response was, "Why not?" to which he replied, "Now I have GOT to find one!"
